Before we begin what’s personal branding let’s read this quote that is to the point:
All of us need to understand the importance of personal branding. We are CEOs of our own companies: Me Inc. To be in business today, our most important job is to be head marketer of a brand called YOU.
– Tom Peters, Author of In Search of Excellence
What is Personal Branding?
Personal branding allows you to market yourself and your business as a brand. It is an ongoing process of developing and maintaining a reputation with an audience you develop. In a world where social media has become the new way to market services, products, lifestyles, and more, it is essential that you, a business owner develop a personal brand. This helps give a ‘personal’ element to your business, setting you apart from everyone else.
What is Personal Brand Photography?
This type of photography allows you to provide images for entrepreneurs like yourself to tell your story, promote your brand, connect with your audience, and allow a level of transparency and authenticity.
Is Personal Brand Photography Important?
Our world is becoming more and more visual each day. A majority of people spend hours on social media, so it’s important, as a business owner, to be a part of this. You want as many people to see you, connect with you, relate to you, and support your product/service.
You can share your story through imagery which will help people relate to you. You have the opportunity to share images with your audience that provide insight to your personal life- who you are, what you like, what you fear, where you come from, or what inspires you. This insight into your life will create an interactive connection and give your audience an opportunity to engage with you. This is what sets you apart from everyone else. Each person has a different story to tell. Each person has a different style, different likes/dislikes and your audience will be following you based on this.
