Here are 5 tips to capture your own branding photoshoot. What’s branding? A person’s brand conveys their values, their voice, their language, and pretty much everything about them. Branding tells a story, and many times it tells everything. Photography can help immensely in conveying your personal brand, and help to show your uniqueness and what you stand for. But correctly capturing and showing your brand in a photoshoot can sometimes be a little challenging, so let’s dive in to the 5 tips!
-
Prepare Props and Outfits
Before heading into a photo shoot, take some time to think about what you want to wear and what items and props that you want to use. This can be as simple or as elaborate as you wish, but what you are wearing and any props that you may want to use or feature can really help convey yourself and your brand in the right way!
-
Find a photographer that fits you
Every person is different, and so is every photographer. It is a good idea to do a little research and find a photographer that is not only in your budget, but that fits you and your style. Talk to a couple of different photographers, tell them what you are wanting, and see how they respond. Share with them all of your ideas and ask them questions about their style and expertise. Finding someone that you will work well with can make a huge difference!
-
Make sure you and your photographer are on the same page, listen to their suggestions
In addition to finding a photographer that you trust and are comfortable working with, it is important to talk to them about the type of photos that you are wanting and how you can work together to accomplish them. It is also a good idea to take note of and listen to any suggestions that your photographer may have, as that may really help in capturing the best possible branding photos!
-
Find inspiration and examples, but be unique
Before your photo shoot, you can look around the internet and social media to brainstorm picture ideas and start to look for inspiration. Save a few examples of these to show and discuss with your photographer. This will give you a great starting point and help you to hit the ground running. But remember, branding is about personality and being unique, so be sure to use these as inspirations and put your own twist and style on them.
5.Have fun
Last but certainly not least, try not to stress out about your photoshoot! Prepare yourself mentally and have a good time. By relaxing and conveying your normal self, this will come through the photos and promote your brand in the best possible way. If you have prepared everything else for your photoshoot, then you can relax and have fun. A photoshoot is the perfect way to show your creativity and personality, while at the same time building your brand!
